B. Installing the App

There are two options of how to install the app.

The first option is done by an administrator. The administrator of your company rolls out the app for every user in the MS Teams environment.

The second option is that the user installs the app on their own via the MS Teams App Store.

1. in the MS Teams navigation bar, go to Apps.

2. In the search box, search for Digital Phone.

3. Click on the Digital Phone app box.

⇒ A new dialogue will open.

4. In this dialogue, click on Add.

⇒ The app will be added to your personal apps and will open afterwards.

5. Right-click on the Digital Phone icon in the navigation bar on the left and click on Pin.

6. To use the app, click on Sign in and log in with your app user credentials.

To use the app from the MS Teams, make sure that the Desktop App or the Web App is runing in the background and the user is logged in.

When the user starts a phone call, the call will open in a small floating window in the top-right corner of the app. Here you can:

mute yourself
put the call on hold or
end the call.

After the call has been ended, the small window will disappear.

Apart from that, there is not much difference to the Digital Phone app.

Keep in mind that some features are not available in the Digital Phone App for MS Teams (e.g. Call forwarding, Fax or Shortcuts). To use these functions, open the Desktop app that is running in the background.
